Educational activity
Equally to the artistic activity Bytom Dance and Movement Theater ROZBARK will conduct educational activity in the scope of dancing and also deal with disciplines which are indirectly connected with dancing. Dance education will take place at all age levels – from the youngest kids, through adults, to seniors. It will be conducted both in the form of regular classes, taking place continuously during the whole artistic season and in a condensed form during the International Contemporary Dance Conference and Performance Festival. We are planning to diversify the techniques conducted during the course of these classes in order not to limit ourselves only to contemporary dance, but also exploit other forms of movement. Apart from this, classes will be conducted for professional dancers and also there will be courses and training sessions such as therapy through movement or choreotherapy aimed at therapists, physiotherapists, and other professions that conduct classes with disabled people using different forms of art therapy. Bytom Dance and Movement Theater ROZBARK will also be focused on coming out to the citizens outside of its seat, therefore diversified classes will take place in kindergartens, schools, social assistance centers, community centers, and dance centers as well as universities or academies which educate future dancers and therapists.

Apart from the principal educational part, based on dance workshops, we are also planning workshops connected with dance history and theory, production of dance performances as well as those related to illumination of the dance theater’s performances, using of multimedia in this form of art, or e.g. management and marketing and promotion for institutions, which deal with dance professionally. Classes will handle both the theoretical and practical aspects, owing to which their participants will gain thorough knowledge, useful to be applied in their everyday work and artistic development.

A system of children’s music education consisting in expressing of music by movement. Eurythmy gives the student a chance to physically experience music through movement exercises and through the other senses. Developing of the feeling of rhythm, feeling of conscious movement is based in Dalcroze's method on natural movement.   Improvisation is an important element of this method.

Dennison’s Method
Relaxation and energizing exercises, which serve the integration of the cerebral hemispheres for their more effective activity. It is simple and it aids harmonious development and if applied patiently and persistently, it helps overpowering of a child’s various difficulties. Its basic task is the integration of thoughts and actions, which means an ideal cooperation of the mind and body.

Veronica Sherborne’s Method
The task of the Developmental Movement Method is developing through movement of the motional fitness, consciousness of one’s body, of space and acting in it, as well as sharing of space with other people and getting in close contact with them.

Jazz dance teaches to express emotions, feelings, as well as expression. It perfectly ”chills out” the body and mind. It is based on the idea of ballet, although just like contemporary dance it is lacking certain limitations. The characteristic features of this dance are the so-called isolations, namely movements by parts of the body independently of other movements and counteractions, which are present with same frequency in hip-hop, but in a different way. Jazz dance gives a general impression of a ”light and independent” dance, as contemporary or modern dance, however right after ballet it is one of the most difficult dance techniques and it requires great work from the dancer. It develops all muscle groups, improves the body’s motility, stretches stagnant tendons, and it enhances blood circulation. Regular training sessions increase the body’s fitness. Classes are directed to people who dance at an intermediate and advanced level.

Latin dance - SOLO
The proposed solo exercises and choreographies draw deeply from Latin dances such as: samba, rumba, cha cha, pasodoble, jive as well as the elements of salsa and flamenco. Hot Latin music from Columbia or Cuba – activates the body, especially the hips, arms, and chest. The classes enable improvement of fitness, relax and at the same time strengthen the body, but above all liberate it from the stiff frames, in which it is usually kept, put in motion those parts of the body about which existence we tend to forget. This perfect form of amusement enables overcoming of constraints and draw pleasure from what our own body offers us – pure movement. These classes are directed to both women and men regardless of age and dancing skills.
